HMD Global released its first flagship smartphone Nokia 8 in India with a price tag of Rs. 36,999. The smartphone comes with the latest and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB RAM.  The smartphone is the first flagship in India from Nokia, and it comes with the Carl Zeiss optics and dual 13MP camera setup with laser and phase detection autofocus.

The smartphone comes with a beautiful curved design and a display with minimal side bezels. Below the display is the capacitive home button which doubles as the fingerprint sensor, the back, and recent apps buttons are capacitive and backlit as well. On the back, you will see the vertically arranged dual camera setup with the LED flash and Zeiss branding. Below is the Nokia logo on the shiny surface which shines as the glass.

The Nokia 8 comes with 5.3 inches IPS LCD display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) and 554 PPI pixel density. The display is protected with the sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone runs on the vanilla Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and will get the Android 8.0 update soon.

The rear camera is a 13MP + 13MP with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, IR focus and dual LED dual-tone flash. One of the 13MP sensors comes with OIS and color sensor, and the other one is a monochrome sensor. The front-facing camera is a 13MP with f/2.0 aperture, display flash, and Zeiss optics.

The Nokia 8 is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. The smartphone also supports microSD card expansion with the dedicated micro SD card sot. More features of the smartphone include USB Type-C interface, fingerprint sensor, splashproof IP54 rating and the 3090 mAh battery.

Price and availability: The Nokia 8 comes in Blue, Steel and Polished Copper colors and is priced at Rs 36,999. It will be available from October 14th on Amazon.in online as well as select retail stores across India
