New Maserati Levante premium SUV unveiled in India, priced Rs 1.45 cr

Maserati has a new high-end version of its popular Levante SUV on offer in India. Priced at Rs. 1.45 crore, the new Levante is clearly for the high and mighty who craves for opulence and performance in equal measure.

Of course the two latest Levante variants, GranLusso and GranSport promises oodles of it though only for those who can afford the Rs 1.48 crore and Rs 1.53 crore, that the two premium SUVs are priced at respectively.

As ETAuto reported, the two models however share the same powertrain – 275 hp 3 litre V6 Turbo diesel engine mated to an 8-speed automatic drivetrain. Both conspire to propel the SUV to breach the three figure speed mark in just 6.9 seconds, besides allowing for a top speed of 230 Km/hr. A unique aspect of the engine is that 90 percent of the torque is available under 2000 rpm itself. For the record, the SUV is rated at a max torque of 600 Nm.

The new Levante is also not just about style but boasts of solid off-road capabilities as well. In fact, the SUV comes with four driving modes – Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Auto Manual and Auto Off-Road; with the last mode enhancing the drive height to allow for enough ground clearance to ensure safe driving even on rough terrain.

Also of course the sprinting abilities of the SUV is just a part of the story while the super luxurious setting on the inside providing for a completely different world that you merge into while on the move. Among the few aspects that make the interiors so much more liveable is premium leather, fine woods, and platinum-effect metals, to name just a few.

There is also handcrafted contrast stitching as well that makes the interiors to come alive while entertainment system developed in collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins or Harman Kardon ensure you have the perfect blend of luxury and entertainment while on-road. To complement the entertainment package, there is a new 8.4-inch high-resolution touchscreen display as well at the central console that also keeps the occupants informed of the various aspects of the SUV’s status.

Also of course power with adequate safety measure cancels each other out. That is the reason the Italian car maker has provided the new Levante with some of the best driver assistance systems. The Advanced Driver Assistance package or ADAS package comprises of features such as highway assist (HA), lane keeping assist (LKA), active blind spot assist (ABSA) and traffic sign recognition (TSR).

On the whole, Levante can be the perfect SUV if you are looking for something that exudes style besides also a solid road presence.
