The highly-anticipated 2018 Hyundai Santro has finally launched in India. The new Santro will be offered in a choice of five variants which include D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sportz, and ASTA.
The new Santro gets a starting price of INR 3.89 lakh, and goes up to INR 5.45 lakh for the top-end model. The new hatch been priced competitively and sports the famous tall boy design that offers a lot of space for small-sized car.
The hatchback is inspired by Hyundai’s ‘Dynamic Tension’ design language featuring aggressive lines and a sporty compact look. The new Santro is offered in a choice of 7 colours options which include 2 new colours – Imperial beige and Diana Green.
The interiors feature a dual tone beige and black shades with gold inserts. The top-end model also gets a 17.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the all-new 2018 Hyundai Santro gets powered by a 1.1L petrol engine which churns out 67Hp of power and 10.1Kgm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, though the company is also offering AMT gearbox as an option.
As far as mileage goes, the new Santro’s petrol variant is claimed to offer 20.3 kmpl, while its CNG variant is said to offer 30.48 kmpl.
Safety features on the 2018 Hyundai Santro include driver airbag and ABS with EBD as standard across all variants. The top-end variant gets dual-airbags. Other features include rear parking sensors and auto door unlock feature.
The new 2018 Hyundai Santro will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid, and more. The new Santro is getting a positive response, as reports suggest that the company has already received 23,500 bookings and is betting big on the upcoming festive season in India.
