Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus Price and Specs: What’s the difference?

Motorola has just launched the Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones in India where G4 Plus is priced at Rs. 13,499 for 16GB and Rs. 14,999 for 32GB variant. Dubbed as Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, the smartphones will be exclusively available via Amazon India in Black and White color variants.

Today, Amazon India posted a teaser video featuring Amit Boni, Country Manager, Motorola Mobility. In the video, Boni reveals the launch of the new smartphones via Amazon with Moto G4 Plus units expected to land inside Amazon warehouse shortly.

Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus Specs:

While the 2GB RAM/16GB storage model of Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs. 13,499, the device with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is available at Rs. 14,999. On the other hand, Moto G4 is only available in 2GB RAM with either 16GB or 32GB expandable storage variants. Motorola will announce the price of G4 within the next few days.

Instead of a 16-megapixel main camera sensor as seen in Moto G4 Plus, the Moto G4 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture. However, the Moto G4 has ditched the laser autofocus, which is available with the Plus version. Both the device accompanies the same 5MP front-facing snapper. Apart from these changes, all other specifications remain the same between G4 and G4 Plus.

On the specifications side, both Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 bears a large 5.5-inch FHD IPS display, Snapdragon 617 chipset, Adreno 405 graphics, 3000 mAh battery loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Even though both G4 and G4 Plus offers the same battery with fast charging technology, only the Moto G4 Plus has a Turbo Charger bundled inside the box.

For the first time in the history of smartphones, Motorola has integrated the biometric authentication system with the dual-SIM based Moto G4 Plus. However, Moto G4 doesn’t come with a fingerprint reader.

Talking about connectivity, both Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus ships with 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, MicroUSB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, and GPS/ A-GPS in addition to various sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
