Motorola to launch second-gen Moto X 32GB variant today in India

Popular Indian online retailer Flipkart has announced that a 32 GB variant of Motorola’s flagship device Moto X (2014) will start selling in India starting today. The 16 GB version of the second generation Moto X has been on sale in India for quite some time.

Flipkart, which sells Motorola phones exclusively in India, didn’t announce a price for the 32 GB variant of Moto X second generation. The 16 GB model of the device costs Rs 31,999 that was launched back in September. A slightly more expensive model is also available that sports leather and wooden back panel. That version retails for Rs 33,999.

Moto X second generation has been acclaimed to be the best flagship device of 2014 by more than one tech publishing houses. This premium phone packs a 5.2-inch display that boasts full HD resolution and features curved metal frame, giving users a solid experience when held on hand.

Under the hood, the phone has a powerful 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2GB RAM, all within the thickness of just 9.9mm and weight of 144g. The phone as of now runs on Android’s KitKat version but has been confirmed to receive the latest Lollipop version in the coming days.

If you need more reasons to buy the Moto X second generation, consider the 13 MP shooter on the back that has dual-LED ring flash and is capable of shooting 4K videos. For the selfie freaks, it has a 2 MP front camera. And to power all of these, Moto X second generation has a 2300 mAh battery.

Since December 22 is just three days ahead of Christmas, customers in India may have a hard time getting this device delivered to their home if there’s a high demand for the 32 GB model.
