Moto E3 Power has been recently released with a 5-inch HD display and 3500mAh battery alongside water-resistant nano-coating technology at Rs. 7,999. Even though the smartphone comes with 2GB RAM, the handset is powered by a 3500mAh battery, which is comparatively higher than competing phones. Moreover, Moto E3 Power is available on Flipkart with Reliance Jio welcome offer as a bonus. The new handset is exclusively available from Flipkart. In this article, we will examine the specifications and features of Moto E3 Power.
Design and Build quality
Equipped with a 5-inch display, the design is similar to that of the newly launched Moto G4 series. However, the Moto E3 Power is designed using a smooth plastic finish at the rear and metal finish plastic around the edges. Even though the phone is bit small to accommodate a massive battery, the presence of the 5-inch display provides some room for the battery.
On the front, you will find the bar-shaped earpiece above the display and a speaker below it. The addition of a front-facing speaker is an advantage because it will produce accurate sound. The right side features the traditional volume rocker button and a textured power button.
While the top portion houses the traditional headphone jack, the bottom portion bears a microUSB port. On the rear, you will find a camera sensor with the LED flash. You can remove the back panel to integrate SIM and microSD cards. The newly launched Moto E3 Power is water-resistant and hence it can withstand a few water splashes.
Display
The Moto E3 Power features a 5-inch HD Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display. This means you will be able to work with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Moreover, the display also features a smudge-resistant coating. The viewing angles and color reproduction are comparatively excellent. However, the display is not of premium quality.
Performance
Motorola has packed a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P processor paired with a Mali T720MP2 GPU. The phone also offers 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expandable using a microSD card. The integration of a 3500mAh battery with fast charging capability enables you to charge the device quickly. On the software front, you will find stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow infused into the handset. Among other features, the phone also enables you to twist to open the camera and chop to turn on the flashlight.
Imaging
The rear camera included with Moto E3 Power features an 8MP sensor alongside a LED flash, HDR, and panorama. The main drawback with the phone is that you can only shoot HD videos, which is disappointing. With a 5MP front shooter, you can capture somewhat good selfies. If you look at competing devices, they offer 8MP sensor. There is no specific feature which stands out from the crowd. Hence, you can only expect average quality images and videos.
Conclusion
Moto E3 Power is a capable phone with few limitations like a low-end camera. If you are on the market for a smartphone with premium specifications like 5-inch FHD display, you have to look somewhere else. The brand value of Motorola will certainly push the sales of the new Moto E3 Power but not to an extent which you can think of. The only positive factor with the handset is the addition of a large 3500mAh capacity battery with fast charging. We will come up with a review soon.
