Motorola has reduced the price tag of its Moto E (2nd Gen) for both the 3G and 4G variants by Rs 1000. While the 3G version is available for Rs 5999, the 4G version is available for Rs 6999.
The Moto E (2nd Gen) 3G and 4G smartphones are available exclusively on Flipkart. Moreover, Flipkart is pushing an exchange offer under which users can exchange their old smartphone and avail discounts of up to Rs 2000.
Airtel users can also get double data for two months on select recharge packs. The carrier has not specified if this is a limited period price cut.

The second generation Moto E boasts a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960p. The device boasts a 5MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. The smartphone also has an internal storage of 8GB. It can be augmented to 32 GB since it features a micro-SD card slot.
The Moto E 3G version is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 32-bit processor. Whereas, the 4G variant of Moto E runs on 1.2GHz Quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and has a 400MHz Adreno 302 GPU.
Both the variants offers same connectivity options, which includes Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0LE, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and Wi-Fi.
The latest price cut comes only a few days ahead of the July 28 event when it is expected to unveil its latest iteration of Moto G and Moto X smartphones.
The Moto E LTE has a 2,390mAh battery that Motorola claims can power the smartphone for 24 hours. The Moto E weighs 145gms. The new Moto E runs on the Android Lollipop platform. Motorola is also reported to be bringing the personalized software experience from the Moto X to the budget Moto E.
The latest price slash could be to clear stocks in India ahead of the launch of the next iteration of its Moto X and Moto G smartphone. Motorola has confirmed that a press event will happen on July 28 in New Delhi.
