The Vietnam-based smartphone maker Mobiistar further expanded its portfolio with the launch of entry-level Mobiistar C1 Shine smartphone in India. The device bears a basic design with a modern 18:9 display and face unlock as its key features.
“We have already established ourselves sufficiently for people to recognise and trust us and we want to build on that trust and give our users a great experience,” said Carl Ngo, Co-founder and CEO of Mobiistar India and Global, in a statement.
As for the specs, the Mobiistar C1 Shine gets a 5.34-inch FWVGA+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it gets powered by MediaTek MT6739 quad-core SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage. The given microSD card slot allows for further storage expansion.
For photography, the Mobiistar C1 Shine sports 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash. Furthermore, an 8-megapixel front snapper with an LED flash is given at the front for selfies.
On the software front, the handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo. Fueling up all this is a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual SIM card slots and Wi-Fi.
As you’d notice, there’s no fingerprint scanner on the device. Instead, it relies on the given facial recognition feature as its primary method for unlocking. Lastly, it measures 146.17×70.46×8.75 mm and weighs 166g.

The Mobiistar C1 Shine price in India is set at Rs. 6,100. The handset will be available through over 500 distributors across the country from December 15th in Gold, Blue, and Space Grey colour options. The company is also touting the presence of 1000 service centres throughout the nation for better after-sales support.
