The Indian consumer electronics company, Micromax has launched its new flagship smartphone named Yu Yureka Plus in India with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The device is the third in the YU brand and is expected to go on sale on Amazon from 24th July, from 12 pm onwards, and registration has already started.
Yu Yureka Plus boasts a 5.5 inch full HD 1080p display and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as compared to its predecessor Yu Yureka. Yu Yureka Plus will run on latest Cyanogen 12 OS based on the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Just like its lesser cousin Yu Yureka, Yu Yureka Plus features dual-SIM configuration and supports 4G SIM cards.
The Yu Yureka Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, which is an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The device also features an Adreno 405 GPU paired with 2GB RAM.
The smartphone boasts a 16GB onboard storage space that can be further augmented to 32GB with a microSD card. The Yu Yureka Plus sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. And a 2,500mAh Li-ion battery completes the pack.
On the connectivity front, the device offer 4G LTE support, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and many more.
