Mercedes GLC 63 AMG prototype version spotted on a test drive

Mercedes Benz latest version AMG GLC 63 prototype was spotted on a test-drive recently. The GLC is the latest C-class sized SUV and is considered to be the successor of the GLK SUV. The soon to be launch is one of the finest product that is to be launched by Mercedes-Benz and will be a tremendous competitor to diesel Audi SQ5.

The GLC 63 AMG is a top shelf V8 version that is all set to get the AMG latest 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. It will target small market of customers who approved of the V6 engine of the GLC 43. The GLC 63 is capable of producing up to 510 HP of power, at the same time by using some software modification it has the potential to produce over 600 HP of power.

There has been some unofficial report that the latest upcoming version will have nine-speed automatic, this is entirely in contrast to the seven-speed auto in the C63 sedan. Also, GLC 63 has quite an aggressive body and is probably made to suit its power output.

The latest version SUV features large wheels, massive air intakes that are installed on its front bumper. According to the industry insiders, the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph or 0 to 96 km/h within 4.2 seconds. But as of the moment, no concrete details have been given on the speed of the luxury sedan.

Mercedes-Benz has kept the C 63 AMG in mind while building the GLC version, so some features are similar to that of its counterpart. It will include big brakes and wheels and all the usual AMG enhancements. Other than that the interior of GLC 63 will be sportier in comparison to the regular GLC.

The new version by the Mercedes-Benz will officially be introduced to all during the Paris Motor Show in October. It is likely to come in the market by the end of this year or by the beginning of 2017. One of the plus sides for GLC 63 will be that no other rival is looking at launching their product before 2018.
