Meizu set to debut its M1 Note Smartphone in India

Chinese Smartphone maker Meizu is all set to release its M1 phone today in India.

Meizu is a popular Chinese manufacturer in-line with Xiaomi and is known for its high-end Smartphone like MX4 and MX4 Pro.

Meizu India posted a pic from its founder J Wong declaring a date for its India Debut on 18th May on its Facebook page and official Tweet.

M1 Note is a feature rich Smartphone from Meizu which was released in December 2014 in China.

The Phone is targeted towards youth and comes in vibrant six colors (Black, White, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Pink).

M1 mimics the coloring scheme from iPhone 5c. M1 sports a 5.5” 1080 px full HD screen with 403 ppi.

M1 note is powered by a 64-bit Octa core processor from Mediatek which is based on advanced Cortex-A53 architecture. The phone has 2 GB of RAM.

M1 note has dual SIM support and the phone supports 4G as well. M1 has a 13 MP primary camera which has almost zero shutter lag, it has a 5 MP front camera.

M1 note runs on Android Kitkat the earlier version of Android and it runs Meizu’s proprietary Flyme 4 skin.

Meizu launched its India specific Facebook page in March and has been running marketing campaigns through its page.

Meizu India has organized Giveaways and the team has been traveling holding events and creating buzz about the phone. Meizu has even posted online reviews of major media houses for its M1 Smartphone.

Meizu has released an India specific website as well. 

As per the latest tweet from Meizu India’s official twitter handle the device would be available exclusively on Amazon India at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015

The advent of another Chinese Smartphone manufacturer in India shows the strength of consumer market in India.

This also shows that Indian consumers are ready to shelve money on big budget Smartphones. India is in the center stage of the entire Smartphone manufacturer’s.

Xiaomi released its Mi 4i Smartphone globally from India and Apple released its iPhone 6 within weeks of its release in US.
