Maruti Suzuki’s high expections; launching Celerio at Auto Expo 2014

However, slumping sales failed to deter their enthusiasm from manufacturing and rolling out new, fresh products, Maruti Suzuki therefore looks all set to gift its loyal consumers a new option! Automatic transmission hatchback, christened as Celerio.

The latest offering will take head on with Hyundai’s Grand i10, Honda’s ‘Brio, and Renault’s Pulse competition per se. Maruti Suzuki has spent a whooping 5.7 billion rupees to develop the compact sized car, and is even betting high for its success as Indians would look to explore the option of having manual transmission free drive before them.

Maruti Suzuki feels the pulse of budget conscious population is much better than its compeers, which is reflected across varied spectrum. The company has a network of over thousands of distributors and even more service points in the country to give quick and effective service.

Since its inception, Maruti Suzuki is inching forward towards carrying the mantra of delighting its customers. The success that Swift brought in, Celerio promises to extend furthermore.

Here are the specifications of the car. Maruti Suzuki Celerio will accommodate the K- series, 3 cylinder, 998cc petrol engine that would produce power of 67bhp at 6000 rpm, capable of achieving a decent speed of 100 KMPH. The other dimensions of the car are as follows:

  • Height 1560mm
  • Wheel base 2425mm
  • Boot volume 235 litres
  • Ground clearance 165mm

Currently, Maruti Suzuki Celerio will offer one of the best in class mileage of 22 KMPL, that to in AMT (automatic manual transmission) mode.
