London-based STK plans to enter Indian smartphone market with Hero X

The London-born smartphone brand STK is planning to enter the Indian smartphone market this month. The decision comes as a part of the success STK experienced in the smartphone accessories market in India. Now, with an intention to establish a strong foothold in the Indian market, it is planning to intensify the overall user experience by using unique software and developing a user-friendly interface.

The brand will launch 10 mobile phones across different categories by the end of this year. STK informs that these phones will be affordable but exceptional to use. The company further aims to redefine luxury within the mobile phone segment in India.

HERO X is going to be the first device which will be high on styling and functionality while carrying a reasonable price tag. Further, elucidating the company’s vision with respect to the Indian market, Global Head and Executive Director of STK, Henri Salameh says, “After covering Latin America, Africa, Middle East and UK, we are proud to present STK mobiles in India. With STK mobiles, we shall not only bring the exhilarating devices but also an impressive user face and ecosystem which has been globally making news. Our flagship products will be one of the most unique offerings making us the new face of the affordable luxury in India”.

As of now, the company is in talks with the Government to set up manufacturing and R&D centers in India. Reason being, STK considers India as an amazing opportunity and wants to contribute towards the employment generation as well.

Established in 1993, STK is operated by a London-based tech firm, Santok Group. Currently, STK mobiles are available around the globe and the company has managed to sell approximately 3 million units. The company has a vision of securing a spot (in three years) in top three online selling brands in India and intends to sell smartphones in Rs. 2,999- sub Rs. 9,999 range under the brand name of STK mobiles.
