LG G5 to launch in India in the next quarter

LG G5 to be launched in India in the next quarter confirmed the company. The company recently announced the LG G5 specs, and the smartphone is now up for pre-order in the U.S., and U.K. LG G5 is available in Silver, Titan, Gold, and Pink color variants.

LG G5 features a 5.3-inch IPS quad-HD quantum (2560×1440, 554 PPI) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Similar to that of LG V10, the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow loaded G5 provides an ability to view notifications alongside the date and time.

Coming to general specifications, LG G5 flaunts the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset processor, 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB), 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM including fast charging technology via USB-C port and optional wireless charging.

As expected, the device comes with an aluminum unibody construction with a detachable bottom which enables you to remove 2800mAh battery. Integrated with Bang & Olufsen Play speakers, LG G5 features 16MP primary camera sensor with features such as laser autofocus, OIS, and LED flash coupled with a 135-degree wide-angle 8MP front-facing camera.

LG G5 features a fingerprint scanner placed at the rear side below the cameras. On the side, you will find a key, which when pressed will eject the bottom section where you can access the battery.

While LG Cam Plus module provides the right grip to LG G5 along with a dedicated camera button including a jog wheel for zooming, the LG Hi-Fi Plus module offers 32-bit DAC and amplifier developed in association with Bang and Olufsen.

Moreover, LG G5 also comes with a pair of H3 headphones that support native (Direct Stream Digital) DSD playback. Measuring a thickness of only 7.7mm and weighing 159 grams, LG G5 features all major connectivity features such as LTE, 3G, 2G, Wifi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC.

Previously in early February, LG introduced a quick cover for an unreleased smartphone, which was rumored to be compatible with LG G5. The cover enables you to perform various actions such as attending calls, messages, and alarm control among others without opening the case. Moreover, the cover has been designed using a special film with a glossy metallic finish.

In addition to LG G5, LG also unveiled LG 360 VR head-mounted display headset. Capable of establishing connectivity through a compatible smartphone or tablet, the headset features two 1.99-inch displays with a resolution of 960×720 each with support for Google Cardboard and YouTube 360 content.
