LeTV is scheduled to launch the range of new smartphones in India on January 5, 2016. It was announced during the first #LeMeetup conducted by the company in Bangalore on December 26, 2015.
According to official sources, Le Max phablet will be the first device to be launched in India and not the Le 1s as widely reported earlier. The company is expected to showcase the device at the launch event on January 5 which is expected to take place in New Delhi.
Le Max features a large 6.33 inch Quad HD IPS display with a resolution of 1330 x 2560. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC clocked at 2GHz with 4GB of RAM. You will have a choice to pick a phone with 32GB, 64GB or 128GB internal storage.
Le Max will probably include a 21MP primary camera with a 4MP front-facing camera with UltraPixel technology. We wonder why there is a decrease in front camera specification when other devices are being shipped with 8MP cameras.
Le Max will be powered by a 3400mAh battery and is expected to include a fingerprint scanner. The phone will run all tasks using custom EUI interface layer on the top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. We hope LTV will provide an update for Android M in the next devices.
You have to tolerate a weight of 204 grams which is more or less the same as Redmi Note 4G, which has a comparatively less display. LeTv has done well to restrict the weight by providing a big display panel.
From our point of view, Le Max will be suitable for reading emails, ebooks, web browsing on the go because of its unique 6.2-inch display with a large resolution.
The company has also clarified that they will be launching a new range of smartphones other than Le Maz, and the details will be revealed during the launch event.
We don’t have any pricing information, but we expect it to be made available between Rs 12000 to Rs 15000. LeTv should market the phablet at an extremely competitive price to beat competitors such as Yutopia and One Plus.
A quick glance of the Twitter timeline with the #LeMeetup hashtag reveals several interesting information in the form of images and tweets.
