Lenovo Zuk Z2 with 4GB RAM and 5-inch full-HD display to launch on May 31

Lenovo introduced the Zuk Z2 Pro in April and is now going to start a less endowed version of the Smartphone on May 31, 2016. Before its introduction into the market, the Lenovo Zuk Z2 has cleared the China’s TENAA telecommunications certification authority. We now know some key specs as well as the details of the design of the device.

Zuk Z2 is pegged to be the smaller edition of the Zuk Z2 Pro and probably carries a price tag of Rs. 18,400.

Key Specifications

The device is based on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow platform. It boasts a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920) display with 2.5D curved glass protection.

It runs on a Snapdragon 820 SoC along with Adreno 530 GPU. There are rumors that the Z2 will have two variants, one running on the Snapdragon 820 SoC and the second on the Samsung Exynos 8890 SoC.

The smartphone is available in two options- 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage options. Visit the official website for complete features and specifications.

Optics includes a primary camera of 13 Megapixel and a secondary camera of 8 megapixels. It is powered by a 3500mAh battery, weighs 150 grams, and the dimensions are at 140.5x69x7.9mm.

The camera is situated at the top left corner of the smartphone and comes with a flash. The device boasts a metallic frame and 2.5D glass on front and back. The home button on the device doubles up as the fingerprint sensor.

The connectivity options include- 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a USB 3.1 Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor. It also supports QuickCharge 3.0 and supports dual-SIM.

There is no microSD slot for expanding the memory. Zuk Z2 is expected to be available in Black and White variants.

Chinese multinational technology company has sent out media invites for an event on May 31, 2016. It remains to be seen if the device will be launched outside China.
