Lenovo has released Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus smartphones with 4G LTE support at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 event in Barcelona. According to official sources, Vibe K5 Plus will be launched in India within the next few days, probably by the end of Q1 2016.

While Vibe K5, priced at $129, boasts a Snapdragon 415 processor and a 5-inch HD display, the Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch Full HD display powered by Snapdragon 616 processor and is available at $149. Moreover, Lenovo has improved the sounding system with the introduction of Dolby Atmos support and two speakers on both the devices.

Surprisingly, both the devices include 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB), 2750mAh user-replaceable battery loaded with Lenovo’s UI skin on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop in addition to dual nano-SIM card slots.

On the camera front, Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus pack a 13MP primary camera and 5MP front-facing shooter. Measuring a thickness of 8.2mm, Vibe K5 Plus offers a full aluminium body and will be available in Gold and Silver color variants instead of Black and White colors as rumored previously.

With a price difference of only $20 between Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus, it will be a tough decision for customers to make a choice. If you prefer more area for reading ebooks and browsing, you should go for Vibe K5 Plus because it offers a Full HD resolution display, which means high pixel density.

Even though you can’t extend the internal storage beyond 32GB in both the devices, Vibe K5 will be useful for beginners, students and senior citizens who require a basic Android smartphone loaded with all the latest features on the market.
