New Delhi, India: Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is officially launched in India. Initially unveiled during the MWC 2016, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is priced at Rs. 8,499 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting March 23. It is noteworthy to know that India is the first country that is receiving the new smartphone.
Lenovo Vibe K5, mid-priced, offers Dual-Sim capabilities with a 5’ full HD display screen. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 chipset, an Adreno 405 GPU, a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Lenovo Vibe K5 has a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus, a 5MP front camera and houses a 2750 mAh battery. Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is said to be compatible with ANTVR headsets and also employs the use of ‘TheaterMax’, a technology that replicates digital content to seem akin to VR experiences.
Lenovo has maintained a sleek aluminum body offering the Vibe K5 at 7.9mm in thickness and weighing a standard 143 grams. The phone will be available for sale at 12 p.m. on March 23. Flipkart will offer an upgrade to those with a Lenovo A6000 or A6000 Plus if they wish to buy the new Vibe K5 Plus.

According to Mr. Sudhin Mathur – Director for Smartphones at Lenovo India, the company sold around 2 million A6000 smartphones in 2015 alone. Lenovo is expecting the Vibe K5 Plus to rise as the successor of the A6000 range of devices, Mathur added.
Lenovo Vibe K5 will be available in three colours: Champagne Gold, Platinum Silver and Graphite Grey.
