Lenovo started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat Update to K6 Note and K6 Power

Android 7.0

Lenovo has started pushing the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the company’s budget K6 Note and K6 Power smartphones. The update brings several new features to the Vibe U.I along with 7.0 features such as enhanced multi-window support, smart and bundled notifications, Quick App Switching, Data Saver, and much more.

The Lenovo K6 Note and K5 Power were launched back in 2016 running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow; the company has promised Nougat update and just as it promised the Android 7.0 upgrade is now rolling out to everyone. The new Multiwindow support lets you run two applications at the same by just tapping on the recent apps button and drag the apps to the top of the screen. Data Saver limits background data usage when you are not connected to Wi-Fi network and with the re-designed notification panel, you can reply to messages directly from notification bar without opening any app.

Double tapping the recent apps button automatically switches to the last app you were using instead of selecting from the list of apps running. The OTA update doesn’t delete any existing data on your device, but Lenovo advises you to take backup of any important data before updating. The update has started rolling out, and it should reach you very soon, if not you can manually check for any OTA updates from the system settings.
