Lenovo CG Slate kids’ tablet launched for Rs. 7499 with NCERT curriculum

To amalgamate technology and the learning process of a child, ConveGenius launched a learning device ‘CG Slate’ in partnership with global PC and smartphone maker Lenovo.

The product helps the child learn by engaging in games and learning important concepts through videos, interactive books, and worksheets. The device costs Rs. 7,499 and is available online at e-tailer Flipkart. The curriculum has been set by NCERT, and the self-education tablet helps to give an environment which encourages the student to enjoy the process of education and also stay focused.

There are two variants– one for KG to 2nd grade, and the second one for 3rd to 5th grade. Both the devices have the same configuration, and the only difference is the software features which has been made according to the age of the student.

The device runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS platform and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The tablet has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be augmented to 32GB with a memory card. The device weighs only 269 grams, and it can be easily carried in the school bag.

The birth of the tablet has revolutionized the process of education, and it helps kids to become aware of the digital world very early in their childhood. Students who are more adept at handling technology will have a better chance in the highly competitive world of future. The gadget made by Lenovo was unveiled at an event in New Delhi. It features an in-house software application which will create an interactive learning environment.

ConveGenius is not the first company to launch a tablet specifically for students and in the past, a few companies have tried to focus technology devices for educational purpose. A Smartphone has been recently launched which has a special scanner which is used to scan the mathematical problem, and the answers will be provided by the device.
