Leaked – Moto X 2016 to have Snapdragon 820, fingerprint scanner

Just a few days back, Geekbench website arranged for a glimpse of an upcoming Lenovo Moto (earlier Motorola) phone.

We believe it was none other than Lenovo moto’s flagship phone Moto X 2016. As of now, it is rumored that the phone will be officially launched in summers, maybe between June and august.

Until then, we will have to satiate ourselves with its rumored specs. Come let us take a brief look at what speculations hold in store-

Moto X 2016- Design

If a leaked image on Chinese website is to be considered, the flagship will support a full metal unibody. Although the credibility of the source is shallow, this might just be true.

If we take a look at all the competitors, it makes perfect sense to have a metal body design. Going by the current trends, it might just be slimmer and better.
The picture further suggests rear camera lens in the center which is accompanied by the signature Motorola ‘M’.

If we recall correctly, Motorola launched 3 different models for this flagship in 2015. So, maybe the picture shared on ‘Wapvnet’ is for one of the models.

It won’t be a surprise if the company decides to launch a cheaper version of the flagship. That would definitely be a smart move.

simultaneously, some other websites have also been sharing the leaked photos. Most of these photos are not that clear but there are signs of a fingerprint scanner and the USB Type-C.

This might stand true considering the fact that Lenovo Group’s senior Vice-President Chen Xudong told Tech Sina that ‘Motorola’s products would mainly be focussed on the high end whilst Lenovo Vibe series will take care of the low-end’.

Hardware- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
The phone is expected to carry the aforementioned processor but there have been signs of including a heat pipe as well. Apparently, this pipe is supposed to let off the heat from the phone.

Camera and Software-

The photos suggest a large rear sensor but considering the cameras in the 2015 versions, we’d keep our speculations to ourselves because we do not expect any dramatic changes there.

Famous for its stock android experience, it seems the company will stick to vanilla android (Marshmallow version). However, you can always expect a few extra apps.

Xudong also confirmed to Tech Sina that ‘2016 Motorola smartphones will be equipped with a minimum of 5-inch display’.

Matching the trends, we can almost be sure it will be an HD display, however, for now, let us sit back and wait for more updates and rumors.
