Lava launches Pixel V2 4G handset, successor to Pixel V1 at Rs 10,750

Lava International Limited has expanded its Pixel lineup with the launch of Pixel V2, the successor to the Pixel V1 at an event held in Mumbai. Priced at Rs. 10,750, the Pixel V2 costs lower than its forerunner and is available in two different color options.

In term of specifications, Lava Pixel V2 boasts a 12.7cm (5-inch) HD IPS display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720p. The display is further protected by Asahi Dragon Trial Glass on the top.

Powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Quad Core Processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM, the Pixel V2 offers 16GB (11.5GB for users) of in-built storage space, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

The Pixel V2 handset comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with 5 layers Largan lens with blue Glass filter and f/2.0 aperture with dual LED flash. And for selfie lovers, the device offers an 8MP front camera with 4 layers Lens and f/2.4 aperture with LED flash. The primary camera of the device is capable of capturing Full HD (1920 x 1080p) videos.

Whereas, the other camera features include Auto Focus, Pro Focus, Video Mode, Panorama, Pano Selfie, Night Pro V, Night Pro, and Beauty-fi.

In terms of connectivity, the Pixel V2 comes with 4G CAT 4 enabled, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro-USB 2.0, OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack port.

Out-of-the-box, the Lava Pixel V2 runs on new Star OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. A 2,500 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which company touts to deliver full day talk time on 2G and 9 hours on 3G completes the package.
