Tuesday: Domestic handset manufacturer, Lava International Ltd. has expanded its budget smartphones line-up by launching the new Lava Iris Atom 2. The handset will be available for purchase at Rs. 4,949 through both online and offline outlets.
The Iris Atom 2 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA Touchscreen with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Powered by a Quad Core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and 512MB of RAM, the handset offers 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The Lava Iris Atom 2 sports 5MP rear camera with LED flash support. While, there is a 0.3MP VGA camera on the front. The camera also features Panoramic and HDR modes.
In terms of software, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS (upgradable to Android 5.1 Lollipop) out-of-the-box. The device is fueled by a 1,750 mAh removable Li-Ion battery.

Connectivity-wise, the dual-SIM Lava Iris Atom 2 comes with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm Audio Jack Port.
