Lava International Limited, the Indian mobile manufacturing giant has unveiled its new budget smartphone, A79 on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

The phone is being priced at 5699 INR, and it is expected to create waves in Indian mobile market which has an obsession towards mid-range devices.

The major highlight of this device is none other than its large 5.5 inch display, and it will be available in Grey and Silver color variants.

The company through a statement revealed that the smartphone will be soon available in all retail stores across the country, but they have not mentioned the exact date. Check the complete features and specifications at the Lava official website here.

Lava A79 can be considered as a smartphone worth the money. It has a 5MP primary camera, while the front camera comes at 2MP. Interestingly, both the front and back cameras have flash which will surely provide the users a better photography experience.

It runs on Android 5.1 lollipop platform and is being powered with 1.2 GHz RAM. The internal storage capacity of this gadget is 8GB, and it can be expanded to 32 GB using an external memory card.

The smartphone disappoints when it comes to battery.

The battery loaded in the device is of 2200 mAh, and it may not be that powerful for long talk times and browsing.

Earlier this month, Lava has launched its A67 in India, and it was well received by buyers.

The major highlight of this device was its 2MP front facing camera with LED flash. A67 is also a dual sim supporting device, but it has a RAM of just 512 MB.

But still, the device was well received because of its budget pricing.
