If you’ve recently shifted to iOS, you better know that it comes with certain restrictions which hamper necessary general operations like transferring data between PC and iPhone. Therefore, most of the iOS users tend to rely on iTunes for managing their device and performing all the related tasks, ranging from playing, downloading and organizing Photos as well as digital downloads like music and video, book, etc. That being said, even iTunes isn’t a perfect solution, it has been years of people complaining about limited features and majorly of sync and connectivity problems. In this situation, IOTransfer 3 is something that can be a lifesaver for you.
What is IOTransfer 3?
IOTransfer 3 is a full-fledged iOS management PC suite that offers better stability and functions over others. Using it, you can download online videos straight to your iOS device, clean junk files with ease, and do the wireless content transfer from your iPhone to PC and vice versa. In addition to the above-listed features, IOTransfer offers a dedicated Video editor, converter and downloader which allows content from more than 100 video streaming sites, like YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, etc.
Interestingly, you can also create Gifs from online and offline videos, thanks to the new GIF maker feature. Furthermore, it can also be used to clean unnecessary files clogging your iPhone’s storage space. Let’s discuss the software in detail.
On opening IOTransfer 3, you will be welcomed by a highly intuitive and straightforward interface. The menu bar is present on top for navigating between other important features while the home screen asks you to connect your iPhone or iPad with the given USB cable to your machine. As you proceed, a dialogue box will pop-up on your connected iOS device; simply enter the password you used to protect your iPhone/iOS device, wait a few seconds for this software to read the device.
Once the connection is successful, IOTransfer will automatically detect the iPhone model and will display time, battery percentage, storage status and transfer menu with which you can transfer all your photos, music files, videos and contacts from your iPhone to your PC. Furthermore, you can select files in batches and customize the transfer location.
Overall, the UI is quite easy to use and won’t be an issue even for beginners. Moving on, let’s talk about its features in detail.
Display Device information
Right of the bat, the first thing you’ll see is Details button located in the iPhone sketch. Clicking on it reveals device name, serial and build number, followed by the OS version, product type, and the model number, etc. It also gives a detail info on how your iPhone’s storage is being used by apps and media files so that you can figure out what’s taking up more room.
Transfer Data between iPhone and PC
By using the transfer to PC button, you can choose the files that you want to transfer from your iOS device to PC for backup or sharing purpose. You can select batches from Videos, Music, iBooks, Contacts, Voice memos, and podcasts. The transfer process is easy and relatively fast.
The Manage button on top navigation bar provides file management services. Here, you can look for all files at one place, including Photos, Music, Videos, iBooks, Contacts, Podcast, Voice Memos and Contacts. You can view these files, as well as edit and delete them. We liked the fact that files are showcased in a well-organized tree format and can be imported directly to your PC without going back to transfer section.
IOTransfer is also capable of handling the iOS 11’s proprietary HEIC image format. Following the same, HEIC image can also be converted to JPG format in just one-click without compromising on quality which further adds to the user convenience.
Contacts now support importing/exporting Outlook and Google contacts in CSV format. There’s also an apps section where you can select and uninstall the applications installed on your connected iOS devices.
Are you fed up of low storage space warnings on your iOS device? Well, you can solve the same by clearing caches and junk files on iOS devices using the Clean feature. To be more specific, it cleans a whole lot of junk and temporary files generated by iOS system or third-party apps and deletes useless log files and caches from your iOS devices. This not only frees up space but also speeds up the device. After using it on our two-year-old iPhone 7, we noticed significant performance improvements here and there.
Download & Convert Videos
The next option named as Videos offers two dedicated powerful tools namely downloader and converter. You can download high-quality videos from almost all major sources including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Dailymotion, Twitter, Metacafe, Vimeo and more.
To save videos directly to your iOS device in the preferred location, simply paste the video link in downloader and watch it downloading the required file in maximum possible quality.
Next, you can convert the video you just downloaded or any other video on your PC in MP3, MP4, WAV, AC3, M4a, FLAC, ACC, OGG, FLV, AVI, MPG, MVW, VOB, HEVC, 3GP, 3G2, etc. formats within the app. Though the tool works flawlessly, we wish if it had an option to choose between the resolution before starting the download process manually.
As the name suggests, the newly introduced AirTrans feature deploys Wi-Fi Direct technology to quickly and efficiently transfer photos, videos, and other files between iOS device and PC on the same local network. It works as smooth as sharing files on two Android devices with Xender and thus rectifies the need of cables for sharing data. Note that your PC should have native Wi-Fi support for this option to work if not, you can buy a cheap Wi-Fi adapter for your machine under $5.
As soon as you press the “Start Transfer” button, IOTransfer will start searching for your iOS device. Note that you must install the IOTransfer AirTrans app on your iPhone beforehand. A QR code is also given to ease up the connection process. Once connected, you can proceed with the exchange of content. With the latest v3 update, the process has been optimized for better speed and reliability.
GIF Maker and Instagram Downloader
The GIF Maker Online is one of the most interesting features of IOTransfer tool. Using it, you can create amazing Gif files right from the videos you have on your computer. You just need to select the file and customize the part which you want to convert. Furthermore, you can select FPS and scale as per your choice. Once you’re done, tap on create to get an amazing animated gif saved directly on your iPhone. You can share the same on your social media later.
Another feature included in the new V3 update is Instagram downloader, and as the name gives enough of introduction, it can be used to directly download photos and videos from Instagram (using the post link) to your iOS device which comes in really handy in certain situations.
The IOTransfer 3 is good to go option for iOS users looking for a safe, fast and reliable data management and downloading software with a bunch of extra features. You can not only manage the data and files stored on your iPhone/iPad but also share the same with your PC. The ability to download videos, convert them and save directly on iPhone without iTunes acts as the cherry on the cake. Lastly, it offers to fix performance and storage issues by clearing junk and brings in interesting stuff like the GIF maker and handy Instagram Downloader.
We had no issues whatsoever in terms of usability of the software. It was easy to operate and worked flawlessly. However, we would love to have a Backup & Restore feature with the coming updates. Barring that, it is a must-have utility for iPhone and iPad users having limited control over their device.
Moreover, it is a Shareware software and hence available in Free and Premium versions. The company is offering the latter for $26.99/year at the time of writing which is completely worth given that the free version has limited functionality. You can give it a shot by clicking here.
