At Apple’s (AAPL) Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016, the company’s executive shed light on the customization options accommodated with the iOS 10 and the ‘removal of stock apps’ feature topped the list.
Well if you are an iPhone or an iPad user, you can now remove some of the stock apps for good. That being said, there will still be some stock apps which cannot be removed at the will of the user. To be precise, stock apps like App Store, Camera, Activity, Wallet, Find iPhone, Health, Messages, Phone, Safari, and Settings are the default apps that cannot be removed.
Apple has clarified that the user can only remove and not delete these apps. Inactive but present, they will occupy less than 150 MB of storage space.
In addition to this, iOS 10 has decided to part ways with the Game Center as well. Now, the users will have to manage friend requests through the ‘Settings’ itself. Wake Alarm
It seems like Apple has tried to include a personalized Alarm system which will simultaneously, wake you up and let you sleep. This may sound a little confusing, but the same alarm will measure the amount of sleep as well.
A new file system for the macOS
Referring to the way data is stored on the hard drive, Apple has adopted an improved method for storing data on your Mac. Apple File system will let you experience advanced space sharing behind the scenes. This will enable Mac to accommodate more files within the same space as well.
Read receipt feature
Last but not the least, Apple users can rejoice a little more as the company has introduced a ‘read receipt feature’ on the per-person or per-conversation basis on iOS 10, which will let you conveniently avoid sending the read receipts for a particular person. This is convenience at its best.
