Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 with 4G LTE and Marshmallow launched: Price and specs

A brand new smartphone has been listed on the official Intex website. The smartphone named as Aqua Strong 5.1 is a budget Android handset with lower mid-range specifications. The comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,599.

The latest smartphone from Intex sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This results in a pixel density of 196 pixels per inch. The sub-HD screen uses a TN type display panel instead of an IPS panel. This should result in very low quality viewing angles. A Gorilla Glass 2 gives protection to the display. Although Gorilla Glass 2 is pretty old now, we should remember that most smartphones in this price bracket do not feature any screen protection.

Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 Specs

A MediaTek MT6735 SoC powers the Aqua Strong 5.1. The quad-core 64-bit processor comes with four ARM cortex A53 cores clocked at 1 GHz each. A single core ARM Mali-T720 MP1 Graphics Processor handles the gaming performance of the handset.

The brand new smartphone comes with 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM combined with 8 GB of internal memory. Out of the 8 GB eMMC inbuilt storage, 4.64 GB remains free to use. The storage can be expanded via a microSD card up to 32 GB. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is present as the operating system.

The rear camera of the phone is a fixed focus 5 Mega Pixels unit with f/2.4 aperture size. The primary camera uses a three-piece lens set-up. The phone has a 2 Mega Pixels selfie shooter. The stock camera software has various features like face beautification, voice capture, smile detection, panorama mode etc. There is dual LED flash in the handset.

The Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 is a dual SIM mobile. It takes in micro-sized SIM cards in both the slots. The phone comes with 4G LTE enabled with all necessary bandwidths required to avail 4G across India. You can access 4G through both the SIM slots.

All general connectivity options are present in the smartphone, which includes 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 4.0 (LE), GPS with A-GPS etc. FM Radio is also supported. An USB 2.0 port facilitates data connection and charging.

A 2800mAH Lithium-ion battery juices up the latest smartphone from Intex. The company claims a standby time of up to 466 hours and talk time up to 22 hours. There is no information till now about the exact date the device will go on sale in India.
