Huawei P8 Lite (2017)

Huawei has added yet another smartphone to its kitty with the launch of Huawei P8 Lite (2017) loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. Touted as a successor to the previously launched P8 Lite smartphone, the new Huawei P8 Lite (2017) is an enhanced version when compared to the P9 Lite launched in 2016.

According to industry analysts, the timing of the launch of P8 Lite 2017 variant is bit odd since the company is planning to launch the P10 Lite within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, a leading tech portal suggests that the new phone will be launched as P9 Lite (2017) in Latin America.

Huawei P8 Lite (2017) specifications

On the specifications front, the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) features a 5.2-inch FHD (1920X1080) display, Kirin 655 processor alongside 3GB RAM. The handset offers 16GB of internal storage, which can be extended up to 128GB. The big highlight of the phone is the addition of the Android 7.0 Nougat. Hence, you will be able to work with the latest Android platform.

Huawei P8 Lite (2017) features a 12MP camera

Talking about optics, the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) bears a 12MP camera with LED flash and autofocus. On the other hand, the front-facing snapper is loaded with 8MP sensor. Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the phone provides support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. Moreover, the handset is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the rear, using which you can easily unlock the smartphone.

If you look at the previously launched P8 Lite, the latest model ships with an enlarged display, improved processor and RAM including battery. Moreover, the phone offers an enhanced camera as well. Interestingly, if you compare with P9 Lite launched in 2016, the latest model offers only negligible upgrades. You will only notice a slightly higher processor with other parameters remaining the same.

Priced at EUR 239 (Rs. 17300 approx), the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) will be initially available by the end of January in Germany in Black color variant. You can also expect the launch of the phone in White and Gold color options.
