Huawei Honor Note 8 phablet with 2K display goes official on August 1

Huawei Honor Note 8 is all set to be released on the 1st of August. The company is sending out official photo invite which also carries the screen resolution of the device amongst other details. Honor Note 8 is directly going to compete with Xiaomi’s Mi Max, which carries a screen of 6.44 inches.

Huawei Honor Note 8 is equipped with a slightly bigger 6.6-inch screen, and the phablet will be officially launched at an event in China. Earlier reports indicated that Huawei might adopt the moniker Honor V8 Max to intimidate its obvious competition, but the latest GIF image teaser has clarified all the speculations.

Huawei Honor Note 8 Specs

The device will bring in a staggering 2K display resolution for its massive 6.6-inch screen. There might be two variants of the device based on the differences of the processor, RAM, and ROM. Honor Note 8 may be available with a Kirin 950 processor (for the cheaper variant) and the costlier version with Huawei’s Kirin 955 chipset.

The costlier version of the device will pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. A 13-megapixel rear shooter with a LED flash whereas the selfie enthusiasts will be provided with an 8-megapixel front shooter. The Kirin 955 chipset will be equipped with a 2.5 GHz octa-core CPU, and the device is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The 4400mAh battery with fast charging will be a boon for heavy users, and the device is expected to have a fingerprint sensor at the back as well. Keeping with the latest trend, the devices will support a USB Type-C port. Whereas along with the Kirin 950 processor, the slightly cheaper version will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. These are the basic differences amongst both the variants.

Prices for both the variants CNY 1999 (Rs. 19,990) for the lower-end variant and CNY 2299 (Rs. 22,990) for the higher-end model.
