HTC has introduced three new phones Desire 501, Desire 601 and Desire 700. These are three mid-range dual SIM smartphones from HTC. Desire 700(CDMA) is the premium handset among the three and has been priced Rs. 30,000. The Desire 700 which is a flagship model has a design quite similar to the other Desire models and is predominantly made of plastic. It also comprises a removable back made of soft plastic with a matte finish.

This phone weighs just 149 gram which makes it a very pocket friendly device. While in design unlike HTC One this phone is thicker, taller and broader.  The edges of the phone are made of soft plastic similar to that of HTC mini. The power key has also been made of soft plastic which sets it apart from the ample use of metal seen in the global phones like HTC one.

Desire 700 dual SIM features a 5 inch qHD display with the resolution of 540×960 pixels. This lower resolution coupled with the large display however can be tagged as the biggest short coming of the device as it reduces the pixel density to just 220ppi. This could result in less sharper and pixilated image formation. The Device also comes with BoomSound technology, with dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifier.
The smartphone offer users the 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash surrounded by a green accent integrated with front speaker grill. It comes with a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera. The Desire 700 provides the two micro SIM card slot in the back cover. The phone supports GSM and CDMA both and the dual SIMs remains functional even when both the lines remain active at the same time.

The device uses the 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB RAM. This powerful processor will be accompanied by a powerful operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean along with HTC Sense 5. It will also offer users a microSD card slot for expanding its memory. The phone will be powered by the 2100 mAh battery removable and placed at the back portion of the phone.

The device will also support features like Blink Feed which provides users with instant feed such as news and social network updates.
