The recently launched flagship, HTC 10 comes with a 5.2-inch Super LCD5 display, 12MP UltraPixel camera with OIS support for both primary and front-facing camera. However, you also have HTC One M9 and One A9 at your disposal. In this article, we will compare and contrast the features and specifications of these three handsets.

Display:

If you want a higher screen, you should opt for HTC 10 since it offers a 5.2-inch Super LCD5 Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display with pixel density of 565 PPI. Whereas the HTC One M9 features a 5-inch Super LCD3 Full HD display with a pixel density of 441 PPI, while HTC One A9 offers a 5-inch AMOLED FHD display with the same pixel density as that of its brother M9. The latest HTC 10 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on the top of the display while M9 and A9 feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processor:

HTC 10 is equipped with Snapdragon 820 dual-core 2.15GHz processor paired with Adreno 530 graphics. While One M9 packs Snapdragon 810 Cortex processor with Adreno 430 graphics, HTC One A9 offers Snapdragon 617 Cortex processor coupled with Adreno 405. Compared to M9 and A9, HTC 10 features a processor with higher clock speed, which ensures better performance.

To ensure better performance and lag free user experience, the HTC 10 comes with 4GB of RAM. However, the HTC One M9 is equipped with 3GB of RAM. Whereas, the HTC One A9 is available in both 2GB and 3GB of RAM variant.

Storage:

HTC 10 is available in both 32GB and 64 GB storage capacities. While M9 is available with 32GB storage, A9 ships with both 16GB and 32GB storage models. All the three devices have the capability to expand the storage to up to 200GB using microSD card.

Camera:

HTC 10 has got the latest specifications because it is equipped with a 12MP UltraPixel f/1.8 camera with OIS support for both primary and front-facing camera. While M9 features a 20MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, the A9 offers 13MP primary camera alongside f/2.0 aperture.

The main attraction of HTC 10 is the integration of IOS support for the 5MP front-facing shooter including the ability to capture selfies by keeping still or just smiling. These features are missing in One M9 and One A9, which has 4MP front-facing camera sensor alongside f/2.0 aperture. Interestingly, M9 comes with an UltraPixel front camera.

Battery:

Out of all the three devices, HTC 10 is equipped with a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology, which is higher than M9 (2,840mAh) and A9 (2,150mAh).

Operating Platform:

HTC 10 comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. However, HTC One A9 also ships with Marshmallow but with version 6.0, which is upgradeable to version 6.0.1. In the case of HTC One M9, the device comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop with the ability to upgrade to v6.0 Marshmallow.

Fingerprint Technology:

While HTC 10 and HTC A9 features a fingerprint sensor, HTC M9 does not provide support for the fingerprint. The sensor enables you to perform various tasks like unlocking the device and much more.

Pricing and Availability:

As of this writing, HTC 10 is available for pre-order at $699 (approx Rs. 46,500). HTC One M9, meanwhile, is available at Rs. 29,990. Priced at Rs. 30,199, HTC One A9 is available from Snapdeal with free access to Hollywood & local movies on HOOQ for one month.
