Honor 6X with dual-camera, Kirin 655 processor and SOS button launched starting Rs 12999

Honor 6X with dual rear camera, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and Kirin 655 processor has been launched at Rs. 12999. Originally launched during CES 2017, the smartphone is localized for 14 India languages.

Additionally, the handset ships with the SOS button, which functions as an emergency alarm. The feature automatically delivers an SMS to pre-defined numbers and also provide location specific information. Honor also introduced 4GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage at Rs. 15999 with expected availability from February.

Commenting on the launch of Honor 6X, Peter Zhai, President, Huawei India Consumer Business Group disclosed that the smartphone had been designed exclusively for consumers who would not compromise on performance. Moreover, the handset is a phone manufactured with uncompromising excellence. Zhai added that the Honor 6X had been launched with an intention to provide dual benefits at a price which you can’t afford with a wide range of features not found in any other phone.

Honor 6X specifications

On the specifications front, the Honor 6X is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD 2.5D glass display. Designed with a full metal slim body, the Honor 6 features a curved panel on the rear. The company has taken steps to manufacture the smartphone under Make in India initiative from February 2017.

Honor 6X features 12MP+2MP dual camera

The highlight of the Honor 6X is the addition of a dual-lens camera on the rear. The 12MP sensor is mainly responsible for the capturing of the image, while the 2MP sensor is mainly used to fetch depth of field information. The phone is specially manufactured to capture professional-looking background blur to enable the objects you are focussing on to stand out. Furthermore, the Honor 6X make use of PDAF technology, which helps you to capture images using an ultra-fast camera focus speed of 0.3 seconds.

Honor 6X offers Kirin 655 processor

Under the hood, the 6X version of Honor is equipped with a Kirin 655 processor, up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone gets sufficient power from the integrated 3340mAh battery. During the launch, Honor said that the Honor 6X ships with unique power saving technologies because of the 16nm manufacturing process of the processor. The company claims that the phone is capable of delivering three days of normal usage and less than two days of heavy usage on a full charge.

As mentioned above, the Honor 6X can be customized in 14 local languages, which include Hindi, Bengali, Telegu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Assamese, Maithili, and Nepali.

Available in Gold, Silver and Gray color variants, the Honor 6X with 3GB RAM option will be available for purchase on Amazon India via flash sale on February 2 at 2 PM. However, you should register for the sale starting January 24, 2 PM till January 31, 11.59 PM. We don’t have any information about when 4GB RAM model will be available for purchase but will be on sale in February.
