The Chinese giant Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has now launched the Honor 20 Lite smartphone in Malaysia and the UK. Being a successor to the last year’s Honor 10 Lite, it offers a dewdrop notched display, 32-megapixel selfie camera and Kirin 710 SoC as its main highlights.

As for the specs, Honor 20 Lite gets a 6.21-inch screen that offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The dewdrop notch allows for an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90 per cent. Furthermore, the TUV Rheinland certified eye-care mode prevents eye strain by cutting down blue light radiation emitted by the display.

Under the hood, the smartphone gets powered by the octa-core Kirin 710 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This is the same SoC we’ve seen on Honor 10 Lite (Review) and the Honor 8X (Review). The room can be expanded further using the given hybrid sim slot.

For photography, the Honor 20 Lite bears a triple camera setup at the rear. The module comprises of a 24-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. Furthermore, there’s a 120-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The camera app is equipped with nifty¬†AI-driven features like AI multi-scene recognition and super night scene mode. For selfies, the handset gets a 32MP shooter at the front that comes with AI beautification feature.

On the software front, the 20 Lite runs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top. Moreover, there’s GPU Turbo 2.0 for enhanced performance and reduced power consumption during gaming. In addition to the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, the device also bears face unlock feature.

Lastly, the connectivity features like dual-SIM support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack are given onboard. The smartphone measures 154.8 x 73.64 x 7.95mm, and it weighs 164 grams.

The Honor 20 Lite price has been set at RM 949 (about Rs. 15,900) in Malaysia. Whereas, it costs GBP 249 (roughly Rs. 22,600) in the UK. That said, the device will be available in Phantom Red, Phantom Blue and Midnight Blue colour options. Honor will soon be launching the handset in other markets including Europe, Southeast Asia and India in the forthcoming weeks.
