Honda is gearing up to refresh its fourth-generation City sedan before the end of January 2017. The company has disclosed that the bookings for the new vehicle will start within the next few days.
Based on the available reports, Honda is expected to integrate the latest infotainment system. This will provide support for Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. Moreover, you can expect a highly capacitive touch-based entertainment system. If you look at the currently available model, it ships with a resistive model.
If rumors are to be believed, Honda is expected to refresh the front and rear sides of the new City model. The new vehicle will be designed in such a way that the headlamps and LED tail lamps project towards the front. Furthermore, you can expect a new set of wheels manufactured using alloy.
2017 Honda City Facelift Specifications
Auto analysts are expecting some kind of improved entertainment system in Honda City. This is because the forthcoming Verma model will ship with a massive 7-inch infotainment system. As expected, the system provides support for Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto.
We are not expecting any modifications to the internals of the new Honda vehicle. The car will be powered by 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol alongside the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. The petrol engine will be connected to the 6-speed manual equipment. The diesel engine will also be connected with the 6-speed manual. However, the sedan will continue to offer an automated way to work with CVT transmission.
The upcoming Honda City sedan will compete with the likes of the 2017 Hyundai Verna including mid-level offerings of Ciaz models. The car will also have to fight hard with the recently launched 2017 rapid.
The Honda City model will accompany all the features of the currently available sedan such as sunroof, leather upholstery, and optional all-black cabin. Since there is a major improvement to the design and infotainment system, we expect the vehicle to be priced at a slightly higher level.
