An American automaker, Ford launched its iconic Mustang model in India just ahead of the Auto Expo 2016, which is scheduled for 3rd February in New Delhi. Equipped with all the excellent features for which Ford is known, Mustang is intended to set benchmarks of performance and dynamics in the automobile industry.
President, Ford India, Nigel Harris said that all through its long history, Ford Mustang has represented confidence and optimism for people globally. According to him, the new model of Mustang is the latest interpretation of how an American icon should be. Nigel told that his company is happy that they are giving such a wonderful opportunity to experience the innovative technology of Mustang to Indians for the first time in the history.
Some of the features including precise steering control and world-class handling enhance the comfort of riding in this Ford vehicle. With the new launch, Ford now offers vehicles that cater to the requirements of almost all the consumers. The Ford Mustang is all set to hit Indian showrooms later this year.
Ford introduced the first model of Mustang in 1964 and ever since then, the company has sold over 9 million cars. An iconic vehicle, it has starred alongside top-notch Hollywood celebrities in movies, television, video games and music. It is ranked as the most-liked car on Facebook.
The new Mustang boasts clean-sheet design, which in fact is an essential brand character of the vehicle. Although it is equipped with new dynamics, the company has retained most of its old features that underline its brand value.
Ford Mustang comes with the latest edition of the throaty 5.0-liter V8 engine with an upgraded valvetrain and cylinder heads that yield more than 420 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque.
The key design elements include improved ergonomics, tactile switches and knobs, short rear deck, long sculpted hood matching the latest trend.
Other features include wider track and rear fenders, wider, lower stance and reduction in the height of the roof. The aviation-inspired cockpit makes it easier for the information to access all the controls and information to the drivers.
