At the moment, you can get speakers in a bunch of shapes and sizes to suit everybody’s needs. We got our hands on a unique product by a brand called ‘Digitek’. The product in question is Digitek DBS 200 Trolley speaker which is a very niche product.

Design
The design of the speaker as the name suggests is based out of a small trolley suitcase. The speaker casing is made out of a combination of materials ranging from plastic to metal. The front features the massive driver unit which is covered in metal mesh and has an RBG LED which lights up to add character. On the back, there are a host of connectors and knobs for controlling the speaker.
The bottom houses a set of wheels for easy movement and there is a retractable pulling handle on the top just like the ones found on suitcases. The speaker comes with a built-in 3,000mAh which is small when looking at the speaker itself and provides a runtime of about 3 ½ hours. The unit also comes with a small remote using which you can control almost all the features on this speaker.
Overall, the speaker is quite sturdy and quirky with an added advantage of mobility. In the images, the speaker looks big but in real life, it’s very compact.
Connectivity
Looking towards the back of the speaker reveals the plethora of connectivity options available. There are retro style knob switches for volume and power while you get buttons to choose the input. The speaker comes with support for Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Memory card slot and Line in along with FM support. There is also support for microphones via the AUX ports which let you use the speaker for Karaoke.
There are knobs for adjusting volume, adding the bass effect and echo in case of karaoke. Among all the ports, there is also a microUSB port used for charging the speaker itself. The brand has certainly not cut any corners especially in this regard which is a plus.
Sound Quality and Battery
The speaker has a noticeable punch with the 400W PMPO speaker combo and is ideal for small to medium gatherings. Since the product boasts the amount of bass that it can provide, during our tests we focused on that only. The speaker has decent mids but the lows and highs are muddy and rolled out. The bass heads would definitely be impressed by its performance and going by the use cases, the speaker seems to be apt for it.
We feel like the overall soundstage is on the flatter side. The brand has bundled a microphone as well, so you can fulfill your karaoke dreams. There are controls on the back of the speaker to control the mic volume and add Echo if needed. There is a 3,000mAh battery built-in, that runs the show. During our tests, the speaker lasted close to 3 ½ hours and took 2 hours to completely top up the battery using a normal USB wall charger.

Verdict – Should you go for it?
The Digitek DBS 200 trolley speaker certainly has an out of the box design which takes some inspirations from the yesteryears boomboxes. The portability factor gets a thumbs up from our side. When talking about the sound itself, the speaker performs decently when looking towards it use cases. The only gripe we have is with the battery, which is small considering the size of the speaker as well as the driver unit itself.
The DBS 200 is a very niche product and if you’re one of the few people looking towards it, then we highly suggest you snag one up for yourself.
