Headquartered in Singapore, Creative Technology Ltd. is one of the prominent names in the Tech industry especially when it comes to powerful Audio accessories and devices. Creative has a huge lineup of products across various categories i.e. Bluetooth speakers, headphones, webcams and different other accessories.

Folks at Creative sent us the Sound Blaster Roar SR 20 Bluetooth speakers to review, and trust me; it’s one of the best we’ve reviewed so far. The reason being, Sound Blaster Roar has a high-quality Audio output with few significant performance enhancing features that we don’t always come across.

So without any further ado, let’s quickly move to the review and see what makes it one of the best we’ve reviewed so far.

Creative SR20 comes with a pair of 1.5″ drivers alongside 3″ high excursion driver, resulting into the powerful bass with the help of two side-firing passive radiators. What I liked the most was this button over here that boosts the loudness and offers maximum audio performance. SR 20 can also be connected to your computer with the help of USB and makes use of SBX Pro audio technologies i.e. Bass and Dialog to intelligently enhance performance while connected to PC.

Design wise, Creative SR 20 has 8 x 2.2 x 4.5 inches and weighs 1.22 kg that’s slightly heavy for portability. But hey! It’s not just limited to that. In fact, it has a lot of cool features packed inside its cuboid shape body, featuring nothing but an elegant and sleek design.

At the front, you’ll find a Creative’s logo alongside powerful dual speakers. Interestingly, it has a subwoofer on top accompanied by few buttons and indicators i.e. Battery indicator, REC indicator, volume rockers, “Roar” button to boost loudness, Bluetooth button (also acts as a call button), and NFC, etc. At the back, there you’ll find a DC 15V charging port, DC 5V 1A USB port, recording button, mic toggle button, microSD slot, micro-USB port, Alarm button along with toggle switch, LS mode toggle switch, shuffle toggle mode button, AUX input jack, play/pause button, and track seek/pause/play button, etc.

Talking about its performance, Sound Blaster boasts dual amplifier unlike most other speakers in a somewhat similar price range, which keeps an optimum balance of driving audio lows, mids at higher frequencies. It has a 6000mAh Li-ion battery that lasted around 6 hours on continuous audio playback.

Functioning the Roar SR20 is easy. All it takes you to tap simply and pair your device to the speaker wirelessly, either via Bluetooth or NFC. As I mentioned earlier, it can also be connected to the PC or Mac via USB, enabling you to access the control panel along with SBX technologies. In case you’re wondering this is all it has to offer, let me put you small wonders on hold. Because it’s not over yet. SR 20 is also functional to integrated MP3/WMA/WAV player, as it allows audio playback via microSD card. And if you want it to offer something more, it also supports audio recording directly into the microSD card.
