How to Buy Tickets for ICC World T20 2016 online

Almost everyone is seeing buzzing around the internet, looking up match schedules and deciding which one of the timeless games to attend. Booking your ticket for an ICC World T20 match has never been easier.

All you have to do is visit the ICC World T20 booking site and make a booking for the match you are looking for.  You should note that the bookings are undertaken by BookMyShow, the online ticketing portal, so you will be redirected to their microsite.

Ticketing for all matches matches within the country commenced on the 24 of February 2016 and are still selling. When you visit the ticketing page you will see a schedule of all the matches that are to take place as well as the rates at which the seats are being sold. Price are indicated in accordance with the sections of the stadiums you pick and the type of seat and services (hospitality/ catering) the package offers.

In case of all matches apart from the semi-finals and finals, you can simply pick the ticket you would like to buy and you will be queued for an online payment after all those that have been waiting before you. You can pay for your ticket online using a credit or debit card, net banking and also a cash card or BookMyShow wallet. Each person can buy up to 6 tickets per match in case of regular matches.

In order to deal with the demand for tickets for the semi-final and final matches, the tickets to these games at the ICC World T20 will be allotted via a ballot system. Applicants sign up for the tickets to either the finals or semi-finals and are intimated via SMS and/or email, in case they win the lottery and hence a ticket to the games.

The lottery sign-up window opened up on the 25th of February 2016 and closes on the 2nd of March 2016. Each person is allowed to book up to 2 tickets per match. Winners receive the email/SMS notifications  with booking links 15 days prior to their selected match and must visit the link received to confirm their purchase within 24hours of its receipt. They must then produce the same at the venue –box office to get their physical tickets before the match.

Unlike in case of regular matches, tickets to the semi-finals or the finals cannot be purchased at the stadium before the match as you have to sign-up for the lottery allocation of tickets. If you do want to watch one of the earlier matches, you could be able to get yourself tickets at the stadium right before the match, if they are still indeed available.
