Bond-inspired supercar Aston Martin DB11 officially launches in India

The all new Aston Martin DB11 officially launches in India at a whopping price tag of Rs. 4.27 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The bond-inspired supercar is now open for bookings and will be retailed in India via Infinity Motors. The British automaker is also organising special roadshows of the DB11 to give prospective buyers a first-hand look and feel of the car.

The all new Aston Martin DB11 was initially showcased in Mumbai on the 8th and 9th of October, followed by Pune from 10-11th October, Goa from 13-14th October, Bengaluru from 16-17th October, Chennai from 19th-20th October and finally it’ll be showcased in Hyderabad from 23rd-24th October.

A brand new bonded aluminium platform, clever aerodynamics, a new characterful twin-turbo V12 and class-leading infotainment systems are just a few aspects which make this the sports car that will proudly spearhead Aston Martin’s second century plan,” said Dr Andy Palmer, Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer.

Aston Martin DB11 Design

The all-new Aston Martin DB11 is based on the DBX concept built for the latest James Bond flick – Spectre. It was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and is built using a stronger and lighter aluminium architecture. At the helm of the new DB11’s design was chief creative officer Marek Reichman. The car still retains that Aston Martin DNA, yet exudes a refreshing look and feel. It has the signature Aston Martin grille on the front which gets flanked by slick LED headlamps. While the clamshell bonnet with air intakes and swanky character lines all look unmistakably like any Aston Martin car, yet incorporates modern design elements and ground breaking aerodynamics.

Aston Martin DB11 Specs

Under the hood, the Aston Martin DB11 gets powered by a monstrous 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine that pumps out a whopping 600bhp of power and a peak torque of 700Nm. The car zips from 0-100kmph in just 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 322kmph. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

As far as features are concerned, the Aston Martin DB11 gets a fully digital instrument cluster with LED headlights and Daytime-running LEDs. Besides, there’s a 12-inch full colour TFT LCD display, an 8-inch TFT screen, Bang and Olufsen audio system, 12 Sensor Parking control including parallel and bay park assist, Keyless entry/keyless go and more.
