BenQ has now expanded its portfolio with the launch of new BenQ CinePrime W2700 and W5700 DLP projectors in India. Both the newly launched projectors are touted to be the world’s first 4K home theatre DLP projectors with long-lasting colour projections.

“BenQ continues to be the market leader with no. 1 market share in 4K projector segment in Asia Pacific and India markets. Today we have unveiled W5700 and W2700 projectors which are specially designed for budding movie fanatics to real enthusiast-level cinema lovers. With this new range of 4K projectors, we are extremely optimistic that these will turn any room into a world-class home theater with video-enhancing technologies, said Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India.

BenQ CinePrime W2700 & W5700: Specifications & Features

Notably, the new BenQ projectors incorporate HDR-PRO technology that supports the projection of both HDR10 and HLG formats. They are also touted to deliver true 4K (3840×2160) resolution with 8.3 million distinct pixels for each frame.

Moreover, both the models support DCI-P3 colour standards. The BenQ CinePrime W2700 offers 94% of DCI-P3 colour space and 100% of Rec. 709. On the other hand, the CinePrime W5700 covers 100% DCI-P3 colour space and 100% of Rec. 709.

All of this aids for auto-colour and tone mapping while propounding enhanced Red and Green colours. BenQ has further optimised the projectors to deliver excellent brightness and contrast ratio, accompanied by individual factory colour calibration that ensures Delta E3 colour accuracy. This offers impressive 4K clarity alongside a vividly natural and realistic video quality.

The company has also equipped the devices with its proprietary CinemaMaster Video+ technology. It brings commercial quality digital cinema experiences into AV screening rooms and living rooms with motion-adaptive 4K pixel enhancement, gorgeous colour enhancement, and natural flesh tone rendition.

Above all, both the CinePrime projectors bring in tailored AV personalisation with versatile short throw, large zoom, and lens shift. Being expensive of the two, the CinePrime W5700 gets 1.6 times big zoom and 2D H/V lens shift.
