Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 with 4G VoLTE, Android Marshmallow launched in China

Asus has launched a new handset, Zenfone Pegasus 3 in China and on the basis of RAM and storage, the phone will be available in two models. The model with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage will cost CNY 1299 (approx. Rs. 13,000) whereas the one with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage will cost around CNY 1499 (approx. Rs. 15,000).

At present, the device is available via official Asus store in China and the details regarding its international availability have not been disclosed by the company.

Taking a look at the spec sheet of the device, Zenfone Pegasus 3 has a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The phone is powered by the MediaTek MT6737, which is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor.

Sporting a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel, the device will run on Android Marshmallow with the ZenUI 3.0 at the top. The rear camera is well endowed with a 13-megapixel lens with LED flash whereas the selfie enthusiasts will have a 5-megapixel camera to fiddle around. 

Zenfone Pegasus 3, a 4G-enabled phone also supports VoLTE with HD voice call compatibility. In addition, the official ASUS store has confirmed that the device supports Indian LTE brands as well.

For connectivity, Zenfone Pegasus 3 comes with the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and Micro USB connectivity options. The phone measures 149.5×73.7×8.5mm and houses a gigantic 4100mAh battery which promises extra usage time due to the phone’s relatively lower power requirement.

Last month, at its ‘Zenvolution event’, Asus had unveiled the new Zenfone 3 series which included Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra, coming in different sizes and specs. As of now, Zenfone Pegasus 3 is available in four color variants – Gray, silver and the popular Rose Gold and Gold.
