Wednesday, 19 August: On the occasion of World Photography Day, ASUS targets to modernize mobile photography experience with its all-new ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser. The smartphone is likely to hit the online stores by mid-September 2015.
The ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE550KL) packs a 13 megapixels PixelMaster camera with Dual LED Real Tone flash, laser auto-focus f/2.0 aperture lens, which helps to capture high-resolution pictures with zero shutter lag. On the front, it sports a 5 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture and Auto-focus.
The camera also comes with Low Light mode that works on pixel-merging technology to capture up to 400%-brighter images at night or in low-light condition.

The Zenfone 2 Laser features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with the screen resolution of 1280 x 720p at 267 ppi. The screen of the handset is further laminated by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which makes it tough enough to resists any accidental bumps and scratches. It also comes with Glove Touch support and 20nm Oleophobic Anti-fingerprints coating.
Under the hood, the smartphone comes packed with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm 64-bit Octa-Core Processor Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) CPU coupled with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and a Qualcomm Adreno 306 GPU.
The ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser offers 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The handset is fueled by a 3,000 mAh Li-Polymer removable battery.
The handset runs on brand-new ASUS ZenUI 2.0 with Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It also comes with dual microphone support with noise cancellation.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM Zenfone 2 Laser comes with 4G LTE (Cat4) support, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, GPS, A-GPS/GLONASS, Micro USB 2.0 (OTG support), and a 3.5mm audio jack port.
