Asus Zenbook 13, 14 and 15 laptops launched in India for a starting price of Rs 71,990

The Taiwanese giant Asus has now launched three new laptops under its Zenbook line-up in India. The same comprises of the Asus ZenBook 13 (UX333), ZenBook 14 (UX433), and ZenBook 15 (UX533) models. Not to mention, these models were first introduced back in August 2018, in Taiwan.

Asus is touting the newly launched Zenbooks as the most compact laptops in the market right now. All the three models boast of a nano-edge display and a 3D IR camera for Windows Hello-based face login. There’s also an ergo lift hinge that automatically tilts the keyboard up at the rear when the notebook is open. This helps in comfortable typing, better audio and proper cooling. Above all, these slim yet powerful notebooks bear MIL-STD 810G certification for reliability, durability and are built with aerospace-grade aluminium.

As for connectivity, the new ZenBook series features the futuristic USB Type-C port for superfast USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10Gbps) data transfers. The laptops can also quick charge the smartphones using USB-PD protocol (including Pixel 2, Pixel 3). Other ports comprise of USB Type-A (up to 5Gbps or 10Gbps) and/or USB 2.0. All models also include a full-sized HDMI port, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD or SD card reader, making it easy to connect to all your peripherals.

Notably, the new laptops bring unrivalled performance powered by 8th Gen Intel Core CPUs, up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics, 16GB RAM, PCIe SSDs and gigabit-class Wi-Fi. The company is offering them in Royal Blue or Icicle Silver colour options with matching gold or white backlit key characters.

As for the price, the base models of Zenbook 13 and Zenbook 14 start at Rs. 71,990 and Rs. 72,990, respectively. The top model of the former costs Rs. 99,990 while the latter goes as high as Rs. 1,00,990. Notwithstanding, the beefed up 15-inch model costs Rs. 1,39,000 for the sole configuration. These notebooks are available for purchase on Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, and offline stores starting today.

The new Asus Zenbook 13 is touted to be the world’s most compact 13-inch laptop providing a Full HD display. It’s even smaller than an A4 size paper. That being said, its offered with a 13.3″ Full-HD (1920 x 1080p) display, adorned by nano edge bezels.

Further, the display offers a 178° wide-viewing angle and 72% NTSC colour gamut coverage. Moreover, the frameless design aids for up to 95% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the Zenbook 13 gets powered by 8th gen U-series CPUs in i5 and i7 variants, coupled with either integrated graphics or MX150 GPU (based on model) and 8GB DDR3 RAM. There’s a 50Wh 3-cell lithium-polymer battery said to deliver 14 hours battery life with 65W Power Adapter.

The company is offering it in five different variants mentioned below with respective prices:

The Asus Zenbook 14 brings in a 14-inch IPS display with a full-HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It gets an impressive 178° wide-viewing angle with 72% NTSC gamut coverage. The four-sided frameless design allows for a screen-to-body ratio of up to 92 %.

Just like the Zenbook 13, gets powered by 8th gen U-series CPUs in i5 and i7 variants, coupled with either integrated graphics or MX150 GPU (based on model) and 8GB DDR3 RAM. It also gets a 50Wh 3-cell lithium-polymer battery, claimed to provide up to 13 hours of battery life, bundled with a 65W Power Adapter.

The Zenbook 14 is available in five different variants mentioned below along with their prices:

Asus Zenbook 15 (UX533)

The Asus Zenbook 15, on the other hand, gets a 15.6-inch FHD (1920×1080) display with 100% sRGB colour gamut coverage and a 92% screen-to-body ratio. There’s only one variant with Intel Core i7 8565U, clubbed with 16GB DDR4 RAM. The 2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max Q GDDR5 GPU backs the graphics.

As for the storage, the laptop gets a whopping 1TB PCIe SSD. All of this is backed by a 73Wh 4-cell lithium-polymer battery, claimed to deliver up to 17 hours of battery life. The company has also included a 90W Power Adapter for fast charging. The Zenbook 13 and 14 weigh 1.19kgs while the Zenbook 15 weighs 1.69kg.
