Everything about the ASUS Zenvolution event: ZenFone 3 smartphones, Zenbo robot, Transformer 3 laptops, and more

Asus has launched a wide range of next generation devices and smartphones at a press event captioned “Zenvolution” at Computex 2016. The products include Zenbo, the first-ever robot manufactured by Asus, an incredible line-up of ZenFone 3 smartphone series, and more. Asus also introduced its next generation ZenBook 3, Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro notebooks with a premium aluminium design.

ASUS Zenbo

Manufactured to fulfill the ambitions of Asus Chairman Jonney Shih, the new Zenbo robot provides assistance, entertainment, and companionship to the drawing room of every household. The robot has an ability to move alone and will be able to understand spoken commands.

Commenting on the launch of Asus Zenbo, Shih disclosed that the aim of the company to enable robotic computing for every household. Moreover, Navin Shenoy from Intel also joined Shih on the stage and revealed that the new robot, smartphones and notebooks are designed and manufactured as a result of 30-year long collaboration between both companies.

ZenFone 3 Deluxe

Touted to be the first full-metal smartphone with Invisible Antenna Design, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, to be available in Gold, Silver, and Grey color variants features a 5.7-inch FHD SAMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, X12 LTE, up to 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), 23MP main camera with Sony IMX318 image sensor paired with PixelMaster 3, USB 3.0 Type-C port, five-magnet speaker, and NXP smart amplifier.

ZenFone 3

ZenFone 3 offers a 5.5-inch FHD Super IPS+ 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass display, Snapdragon 625 processor with 14nm FinFET process, X9 LTE, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 16-megapixel rear camera, a 3000mAh battery including a fingerprint sensor. The new smartphone will be available in Gold, Blue, Black, and White color variants.

ZenFone 3 Ultra

ZenFone 3 Ultra is equipped with a 6.8-inch FHD display with Tru2Life+ Video technology, Snapdragon 652 processor, Adreno 510 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 23MP rear camera with ASUS TriTech autofocus system, five-magnet stereo speakers, NXP smart amplifier, 4600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The smartphone will also work as a power bank similar to Asus ZenFone Max.

ZenBook 3

 

Designed using aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, the Asus ZenBook 3, available in Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz Grey color variants features Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB 2133MHz RAM, 1TB SSD, USB Type-C port, powerful quad-speaker audio by Harman Kardon, full-size backlit keyboard, touchpad with palm rejection technology and smart gestures in addition to a fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello support.

ASUS Transformer 3 Pro

ASUS Transformer 3 Pro is a 2-in-1 PC similar to that of Microsoft Surface Pro 4. With diamond-cut detail and availability in Icicle Gold and Glacier Gray color variants, the new Transformer 3 Pro offers a 12.6-inch display (2880×1920;275PPI), Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB 2133MHz RAM, 1TB SSD, USB Type-C connector, USB 3.1 support, and Thunderbolt 3.

Equipped with an Asus Pen and Cover backlit Keyboard in Stone, Charcoal, Taupe, and Amber color options, the Transformer 3 Pro also integrates a 13MP rear camera and a front-facing snapper with Intel RealSense technology.

ASUS Transformer 3

ASUS Transformer 3 features a 12.6-inch display (2880×1920, 275PPI, 450cd/m2 brightness), 7th Gen Intel Core processor, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, ASUS Tru2Life Video technology, four high-quality speakers with Harman Kardon audio, USB 3.1,  Thunderbolt 3, fingerprint sensor, 13MP camera

While ASUS Transformer 3 is available in Icicle Gold and Glacier Gray color variants, the ASUS Transformer Sleeve Keyboard is available in Stone, Charcoal, Taupe, and Amber colors. With a weight of 695 grams and a thickness of 6.9mm, the device only occupies the size of an A4 paper.

ASUS Transformer Mini

Touted as the world’s lightest 2-in-1 PC, the ASUS Transformer Mini with a weight of 530 grams, is manufactured using a premium magnesium-aluminium alloy design. On the specifications front, the Transformer Mini features a 10.1-inch display with ASUS TruVivid technology, USB port, detachable keyboard, fingerprint scanner loaded with Windows 10.

The device also includes free one-year unlimited ASUS WebStorage package. Expected to be available in a Quartz Gray tablet and keyboard, Asus also released a Pearl White tablet with Amber, Mint Green, or Icicle Gold keyboard color variants.

Accessories

In addition to the above-mentioned devices, Asus also released Asus Audio Pod (4 speakers with 360-degree virtual 5.1-channel surround sound) and ROG XG Station 2, which is an external graphics card dock with VR support. Moreover, the company also released ASUS Designo Curve MX34VQ, ASUS Pen, and ASUS Universal Dock.
