The Taiwanese Electronics giant – ASUSTek (Asus) has now introduced its latest smartphone series – Asus ZenFone 2, to the European market. In a recent tweet from Asus France, the company announced the launch of the Asus ZenFone 2 series in France.
The Asus ZenFone 2-series priced at as low as EUR 179 (approx. Rs. 12,000) for the ZenFone 2 ZE500CL, while the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML is slapped with a price tag of EUR 249 (approx. Rs. 16,700). The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (32GB variant with 4GB of RAM) will be available at EUR 349 (approx. Rs. 23,500); although the company as a promotional offer will sell it at EUR 299 (approx. Rs. 20,100) for a limited period.
The Taiwanese company has stated that the new ZenFone 2-series will be obtainable from the Asus Shop as well as other online retail stores including Darty, Cdiscount, and Auchan.
Whereas, the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML is the most premium smartphone in the ZenFone 2-series with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space. However, there is no word on the availability of ZenFone 2 ZE551ML in France.
The starting model of Asus ZenFone 2, ZE500CL is a single SIM handset that features a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. The ZenFone 2 ZE500CL sports an 8-megapixel rear PixelMaster camera along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Asus ZenFone ZE550ML features a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by the same Intel Atom Z3560 chipset. The ZenFone 2 ZE550ML sports 13-megapixel rear PixelMaster snapper while there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on board as well.
Whereas, the Asus ZenFone ZE551ML (4GB RAM variant) is powered by a 64-bit 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor while the 2GB of RAM variant features a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560. The handset features a 5.5-inch full-HD display in both the 2GB and 4GB RAM variants.
The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (2GB and 4GB of RAM) both sports 13MP rear PixelMaster camera alongside a 5MP front camera.
Both the ZenFone ZE551ML models and the ZenFone ZE550ML are fueled by a 3,000mAh Li-ion battery while the ZenFone ZE500CL features a 2,500mAh Li-ion battery.
All the variants of the Asus ZenFone 2 runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Asus’s new ZenUI and Intel Atom SoCs. All the ZenFone 2 smartphones support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB).
Recently, Asus India also confirmed that the Asus ZenFone 2 will launch in India by the last week of April.
