We all love Bluetooth, right? However, not every device has Bluetooth built in – for transmitting or receiving. We just got the Archeer Bluetooth Transmitter and Reciever for a review – a tiny gadget designed to change your home audio experience. Being a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver, you can transform your non- Bluetooth speaker into a Bluetooth one and play audio from your non-Bluetooth audio player to your Bluetooth speaker. But can it deliver what it promise?. We’ll try to find out in oure review.
So how does it work?
There are many different ways to setup this up so I’ll share how I used the dvice. My TV didn’t have good quality sound, so I decided to connect my Bluetooth-powered speakers with it. I used a 3.5 mm to RCA cable to connect to the headphone jack on my TV and set the Archer in transmit (TX) mode. Then I turned on my Bluetooth speakers and put them in pairing mode and placed those speakers close to the ARCHEER and bingo! – they connected. I can now set my tv to mute without disturbing my flat mates and binge watch my favorite tv shows with my Bluetooth headphones as loud as I want. AWESOME!. The sound was good with no latency in all situations. Another concern was lag, but I am happy to say that there is no discernible lag and the sound is always in sync with the video.
In the receiver mode, you just have to connect the Archeer to your wired headphones or car stereo with the 3.5mm AUX cable. After that, you can stream music wirelessly from your Bluetooth-equipped smartphone, tablet or laptop.
That said, initially, it can be a bit confusing as to what all the buttons do and how to pair the device, so the instruction manual is crucial, but once you get a hand of it was very easy to understand. Receiver lets non-Bluetooth devices like a car or home stereos receive high quality audio.
You have to press down on the BIG button in the centre with the logo on the top. You press and hold that for a few seconds until it turns on. Once the device turns ON, you will see a green light start flashing. The next step is to decide how you want to use the ARCHEER – as a Bluetooth transmitter or receiver. Once you’ve made your decision, be sure you use the switch on the side and set it to either TX (transmit) or RX (receive).
Wrap Up
All in all, I came away rather pleased with Archeer Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver. Since it works as both a receiver and transmitter, you can get your music where you want it to be, anytime or place. It works as advertised and works well. It can be used on a few different household electronics in your home or office such as TVs, home theatres, etc. which makes it very versatile. It is easy to set up and works for hours. I would totally recommend this product to anyone that needs Bluetooth connectivity.
