LG has started to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat to the flagship LG G5 smartphone. Currently, the update is available only for customers based in South Korea. According to sources, the Android 7.0 Nougat update for LG G5 will be expanded to the USA, Asia and other markets in the upcoming months.

According to industry analysts, LG has shown commitment towards its loyal customers by releasing software updates in a timely fashion. The company has rolled out the update well before the rivals are yet to unveil the update. Last year, the Korea-based company had provided Android Marshmallow update to LG G4 smartphone.

Commenting on the launch of the update, Kim Hyung-jung, senior vice president and head of LG Mobile’s research and development disclosed that the company would like to provide customers with the best and most up-to-date mobile experience.

Getting software updates to our users faster than the competition is our way of demonstrating that LG is committed to supporting our products and customers to ensure they have a positive ownership experience

The company has rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update in batches to LG G5. Hence, it will take few weeks for the update to hit your smartphone. You need to keep on checking until you receive an update.
