Slowly and steady, more smartphone brands are updating their latest and best smartphones with the new Android 7.0 Nougat update released this year. Lately, Chinese smartphone brand Huawei has started rolling out the Nougat OTA update to Huawei P9 and Mate 8 smartphones in China. The update would slowly reach all users of Huawei P9 and Mate 8.
There is no official confirmation as when will the company push Nougat OTA update for these smartphones in India. We are expecting Android Nougat update for Huawei P9 and Mate 8 users in India starting next year.
Users in China can check for a firmware update on their respective handsets. You can wait for an OTA update to appear onscreen or can go to Settings > About Phone > Software update. There you will check the Android 7.0 Nougat update if it’s ready for your device. The firmware update on Huawei P9 will be B352 version, while its be B552 if you own a Mate 8.
