Design

Image01 13The Ambrane PP 30 has an all-plastic build with a rubberized finish on both the faces. Since it’s a 30,000mAh capacity power bank, there is a heft to it and the decision of keeping the frame carved out of plastic seems very logical. On the top, you would find the micro USB port that is used for charging the power bank itself, two USB Type-A ports and a high-power LED.

On the face, you get four LED’s that lets you know the amount of charge that is left in the pack itself while the power button is on the right side. On the opposite side, you would find the Type C port that can be used for both charging the power bank and discharging it. The PP 30 is also Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 certified meaning it can output at 18W for phones that support fast charging. The max output via the two USB Type-A ports is DC 5V/2A with the ability to charge multiple devices at the same time.

Performance

Image02 10 The power bank comes packed with the latest features currently available in the market like the voltage overprotection and cut-off which essentially protects the devices from any sudden surge in the current. The power bank has a 30,000mAh capacity but it outputs up to 25,000mAh which matches the competition.

Image01 12During the charging process, we didn’t encounter any heating and the power bank also comes with voltage protection. We managed to charge a bunch of leading smartphones each 1-2 times which is nuts. Charging that massive 30,000mAh battery does takes time and during our tests, it took around 17 hours to fully top up the battery.
