Amazon.in, an online retail store that has presence across three locations in India; Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad and expanding very fast has made its catalog available over the mobile app (Amazon Mobile app) for Android phones.
The mobile app launched by the company would allow Android users to browse and “Shop by Department”, quickly search, compare prices, read reviews, and share products with friends from one convenient place. The website claims to offer a selection of over nine million books, over 130,000 products from hundreds of brands, and more than 1.9 million eBooks from a growing pool of retailers.
It would display without any hesitation the complete section of products available including books, movies, mobiles, electronics, toys, baby, personal care appliances, health care devices, watches, fashion jewelry, home & kitchen products and more. There’s a separate section for customers where one can enter the bar-code or the name of an item for its pricing and availability details.

“We are excited to further enhance the customer shopping experience. Customers in India can now use the Amazon App to conveniently shop with confidence from anywhere, all while enjoying the Amazon shopping experience, right from their Android Phones.”
Customers ordering products that are Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) can enjoy additional benefits of Free Delivery with no minimum value, Cash on Delivery (COD), delivery tracking to the doorstep, and free returns pickup.
New customers can sign up for an account using the app on their Android phone. The Amazon App for Android can be downloaded and installed on any Android Smartphone for free through the Google Play Store or amazon App Store.
